He was predeceased by: his wife Janet E. Ardell (Doane); his parents, Clarence Ardell and Sara Ardell (Sowers); his son Ricky J. Ardell; and his siblings, Clarence "Gus" Ardell Jr., Robert "Bobby" Ardell, Katherine Calvert, Trudy Chadderon, Jane Stewart and Nancy Spooner.
He is survived by: his children, Ross A. Ardell (Stephanie) of South Williamsport, Renee D. Brewer (Ronnie) and Robin L. Cillo (Nick) of Williamsport; his sister Sara Wise of Phoenix City, AL; and his pet Tiger. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made in Charlie's name to the Lycoming County SPCA 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport.
