He was predeceased by: his wife Louise M. (Helminiak); his parents, Edward J. Hamm and Caroline A. Hamm (Reed); and his siblings, James Hamm and Shirley Karns.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph A. Hamm (Connie) of Montoursville, Sharon D. Geary (James) of Montgomery, Michael J. Hamm (Crystal) of Williamsport and Kathy J. Pauling (Charles) of Allenwood; and his grandchildren, Alex Hamm, Michelle Grimes (William), Jaimie Bragalone (Jerry), Eric Geary (Rebecca), Sarah Pauling and Logan Pauling. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
