He was predeceased by: his wife Susan E. (Spahr); and his stepsiblings, Albert Najdzinski and Sandy Sweeney. He is survived by: his daughters, Danielle Paiano and Elizabeth M. Cagnon (Jason); his sisters, Rosemarie Lutsko (Jack) and Denise Leahew; his stepsiblings, Vikki Najdzinski-Bacho, Benji Najdzinski (Chrissy) and Kristy Byrnes (Tim); and his grandchildren, Amanda Paiano, Evelyn and Jacob Cagnon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
