The passing of Karen R. (Waybright) Shockey of South Mountain, Pennsylvania, born in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on November 7, 2024 at the age of 74. She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin J. Waybright and Madeline Waybright (Harper); and her close friend Darrell Kauffman. She is survived by: her daughter Tammy A. Fissel (John) of South Mountain; her grandchildren, Nicol Ringel (Jack), Sam Fissel (Harlee) and Angel Fissel (Tyler); her great grandchildren, Trevor Shreve, Travis Shreve, Carter Ringel and Maddie Mort; and her brothers, Darwin Waybright of Waynesboro and Wilfred Waybright of South Mountain. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home (50 S Broad St, Waynesboro, PA 17268). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
