She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin G. George and Gladys I. George (Mentzer); her husband Ernest G. Gladhill; her son Charles Hawbaker; and her brother Harlan R. "Sonny" George.

She is survived by: her son Robert Hawbaker (Lisa) of Waynesboro; and her grandchildren, Robert A. Hawbaker, Dustin E. Hawbaker and Taylor Hawbaker.
