The memory of Louise Marie (Novak) Altares of South Hills, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 12, 2025 at the age of 95, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vincent Novak and Hedwig Novak; her siblings, Walter, Josephine, Valerie, Cecelia, Frank, Rose, Roman, Harriet, Irene, Leonard and Johanna; and also Timothy Altares, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Noel (Karen), Timothy III (Cheryl) and Rebecca Zinnikas (Michael); her grandchildren, Danielle Sarik (Jon), Ian Altares (Katie), Timothy Altares (Nora), Kiersten Zinnikas, Erin Altares (Connor Perry), Patrice Zinnikas (Ethan Gruber), Colleen Altares and Gregory Zinnikas; and her great grandchild Elise Sarik. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc. (4201 Brownsville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15227). A prayer was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 9:45 AM at the Blessed Trinity Parish (3754 Brownsville Rd, Brentwood, PA 15227). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
