He was predeceased by: his parents, William G. Galla and Agnes Galla (Benden); his wife Margaret Galla (Larson); his brother Donald J. Galla; his grandson J. Coby Galla; his daughter-in-law Lu Anne Galla; his stepdaughter Barbara E. Miller; his stepgrandson Robert L. Siverling; and his close friend William Bowen.
He is survived by: his children, Michael A., Catherine Penrod (Bruce), Patty A. Stevens, Susan Collins (Paul Limón) and William G.; his grandchildren, Shane Galla (Mandy), Joseph J. Madigan (Nicole), Joshua Penrod (Kelly), Hayley F. Madigan, Zachary Penrod (Sara) and Collin T. Russell; his stepgranddaughter Jennifer Fuller; and his sister-in-law Catherine Naugle (Larson). He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
