It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thelma F. Smay (South Fork, Pennsylvania), born in Sidman, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 28, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer E. Johnson and Lottie Johnson (Miller); her husband Richard A. "Yogi Bear" Smay; her daughter Shirley; her grandson Anthony Smay; and her siblings, Dorothy Skrajnar, Darle, Willard, Wayne and Carl "Jim" Johnson.

She is survived by: her sons, Barry Smay (Kathleen Blanchetti) and Rodney (Joan Martin); her grandchildren, Shawn, Tiffany (Trevor), Richard, Tara and Tawny (Paul); her great grandchildren, Alexis, Makenzie, Riley, Lucas, Marshall, Carter, Mason, Josephine, Naomi and Miles; and her niece Tammy.
