He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Riva and Sophia Riva (Stefula); his brothers, Robert Riva and John "Jack" Riva; and his godson Josh Golden.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah A. Riva (Golden); his son Paul; his grandchild Tristin of Altoona; his siblings, Jean Dishong, Ralph (Shirley), Ron (Erma), Teresa Semelsberger (Robert) and Richard (Shirley); his goddaughter Jolene Myers (Golden); and his brothers-in-law, Deacon Richard Golden (Jane) and Stanley J. Golden (Mary).
