He was predeceased by: his parents, George S. Giles and Elizabeth A. Giles (Pitchford); and his siblings, George Jr., Flora and Mildred.

He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Timothy Giles (Elizabeth), Kimberly Lashinsky (James), Melodi Madison (Ronald), Rebecca Ross (James) and Jill Deibert (David); his grandchildren, Samuel Giles-LeBlanc (Liane), Jake Giles, Daniel Giles, Benjamin Giles (Vanessa), Amy Tokarsky (Joseph), Scott Lashinsky (Kelly), Kelly Madison, Kevin, Megan Ross, Lynsie and Sarah Deibert; and his great grandchildren, Luci Giles-LeBlanc, Toby, Colson, Logan, Eli Tokarsky, Addison, Brielle, Dane Lashinsky and Isabella Giles.
