She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard S. Moel and Pauline L. Moel (Bertram); her husband Lester J. Ruffing; and her siblings, Nancy Smith and Richard "Dicky" Moel.

She is survived by: her children, Annette (John Maness), Andrea and John "Lenny" Ruffing; her grandchildren, Alex, Jessica, Shelbie, Kelsie, Michael and Patrick; and her great grandchildren, Brayden, Huxley, Jackson, Stella and Liah. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
