She was predeceased by: her parents, Onzlow Dunmire-Beba and Rebecca Dunmire-Beba (Kelly); her stepfather Otto Beba; her husband Gerald W. Smay; and her siblings, Etta Mae Gramling, Lena Maude Dunmire, Alfred, Homer, Thomas, John and Ronald Dunmire.
She is survived by: her children, Robert (Nancy) and Rebecca (Roger Berkey); her granddaughters, Dawn (Michael Brezovec) and Heather (Sean Hart); her great grandchildren, Mackenzie Brezovec, Gianna and Chloe Hart; and her sister Ruby Lawery.
