He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence E. Grattan and Frances R. Grattan (Jerneycic); his wife Twila Grace Grattan (Hildebrand); his siblings, Patrick (Joan), Dennis Grattan, Alda Kovalsky (Peter), Caroline Rachael (Pete), Dorothy Mihalick (James) and Mary Jane Dennis; and his sister-in-law Glory Grattan.
He is survived by: his son Robert L. (Ellen); his granddaughters, Wendy Lieb and Jan (Alan Miller Jr.); his great grandchildren, Caitlyn Nicole, Alexander Joseph Lieb, Alan Gary III and Colton Robert Miller; his brother Francis Grattan; and his sister-in-law Judy Grattan.
