He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Gallentine and Alverta Witt Gallentine; his daughter Patty Goodwin; his grandson David Sechrist; and his siblings, Kenneth Gallentine and Sara Henry.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Brooks Gallentine; his children, Cindy Craig (Robert) of Connellsville, Debbie Ritenour (Tim) of Connellsville, Darleen Sherwood (Vince) of South Connellsville, Kathy Anthony (Bob) and Thomas Gallentine (Nicci) of New Stanton; his son-in-law Richard Goodwin; his grandchildren, Tiffany Groh (Jim), Trista Callahan (Keet), Heidi Marko (Derek), Brian Sherwood (Jennifer), Shawn Sherwood, Bobby Anthony (Heather), Joshua Anthony, Amanda Sechrist, Cameron Gallentine and Jenna Gallentine; and his sisters, Rena Herbert (Don) of Vanderbilt and Thelma McClain (Chuck) of Indian Head. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
