He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Nichols and Madeline Holgate (Travis Nichols); his stepfather Hayden Holgate; and his brother Lloyd Hayden Holgate. He is survived by: his children, James Nichols, Jr. (Monica) of Richmond, VA, Jeff Nichols (Diana) of New Castle, CO. and Nadine Dixon (Rick) of Factoryville; his grandchildren, Rachel, Heather, Mackenzie Nichols, Kelly, Ian Nichols, Erin, Keith and Logan Dixon; his great grandchildren, Kai and Leo Nichols; his sister Lois Zimmaro; his nephew Tim Tiffany; and his niece Dawn Zimmaro.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choosing in Jim's honor.
