He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph McCarthy and Blanche McCarthy (Delaney); and his siblings, Francis, Joseph McCarthy, Marie Feldman, Pat Wiggs, Blanche Smith and Kathleen Hawley.
He is survived by: his wife Bernadine McCarthy (Price); and his children, Clare Knoll (Ted) of Warrington, PA, Marianne Maree (Ron) of Springfield, VA, Christine Reilly (Mike) of Philadelphia, PA, Nora McCloskey of Philadelphia, PA, Eileen Murphy (Ed) of Willow Grove, PA and Thomas McCarthy, Jr. of Philadelphia, PA.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
