He was predeceased by: his parents, Les Hammerschmidt and Marian Hammerschmidt (Moyer); and his brother Robert. He is survived by: his wife Anne Hammerschmidt (Simmons); his daughters, Karen Hoffman (Lee) and Diana Ravenna (Brian); his grandchildren, Gabriella and Nathan; and his brother Gerald. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
