He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Alderfer and Naomi Alderfer (Gerhart). He is survived by: his wife Barbara J. Alderfer (Kriebel); his sons, Scott Alderfer of Telford, PA, Brad Alderfer (Marisa Cavalieri) of Telford, PA, Kevin Alderfer (Amy) of Collegeville, PA and Keith Alderfer (Heidi Cory) of Telford, PA.; his grandchildren, Christopher, Alison and Zachary; and his great grandchildren, Rayne, Alayah and Callie.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc. (667 Harleysville Pike, Telford, PA 18969). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
