He was predeceased by: his wife Erma B. Halteman (Souder); his parents, John S. Halteman and Mary C. Halteman (Nice); his daughter Mary Jane Kratz; his son-in-law Floyd Kratz; his granddaughter Miranda Ann Halteman; and his siblings, Elwood Halteman (Esther), Raymond Halteman (Mary), Paul Halteman, Verna Halteman and Ada Halteman.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Freed (Arlin) of Souderton, Ronald S. Halteman (Julie) of Dagsboro, DE and Barry S. Halteman (Glenda) of Accident, MD; his daughter-in-law Monique Kratz of Souderton; his grandchildren, Cheryl Landis (Jeff) of Meridian, MS, Angie Breneman (Alan) of Rockingham, VA, Daryl Freed (Priscilla) of Harleysville, PA, Scott Kratz (Julie) of Telford, PA, Brenda Bechler (Dave) of Harrisonburg, VA, Beth Heed of Philadelphia, PA, Marlena Coburn (Dan) of Harrisonburg, VA and Alissa Miller (Sonny) of Grantsville, MD; and his sister-in-law Arlene Halteman of Souderton. He is also survived by twenty-one great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter.
