“To Bill's family: This comes very late, but I've just seen your father's obituary. I was the interim pastor at West Hempfield Presbyterian Church when your dad was moved to Somerset. I visited with him there and was happy that he seemed content in his new surroundings. Bill was a gentle, kind man and it was a privilege to know him...even if for the short time before I moved on to a church far from Somerset. I hope you have a lifetime of good memories to sustain you. Rev. Peggy Shannon”
