He was predeceased by: his parents, George E. Brant and Anna Mae Brant (Shank); his son Duane E. Brant; and his sisters, E. Marie Wentz and Elaine Nicklow.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Long; his son Ben (Valarie); his granddaughter Malinda Forry (Christopher); his stepgrandsons, Ethan Forry (Courtney) and Seth Forry (Michelle); his great grandchildren, Amanda Teets (Wesley) and Cheryl Opel (Keith); his stepgreat-granddaughters, Kaitlyn Forry and Sara; his nephews, Dylan Teets and Tyler; and his niece Audrey Opel.
