She was predeceased by: her parents, William Sr. Saylor and Lydia Saylor (Yoder); her husband Jacob Edward Shaffer; her daughter Amy J. Svonavec; and her siblings, William Jr., Beatrice Blough, James, Violet Wible, John, Betty Layton, Beulah Johns and Frank.
She is survived by: her children, Jacob Edward, Jr. Shaffer (Janet), Linda L. Anderson (Brian), David A. Shaffer (Thelma) and George W. Shaffer (Dawn); her son-in-law Ronald A. Svonavec; her sister Roberta Bowman (Bob); and her sisters-in-law, Betty Saylor and Leona Saylor. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. (1687 Tire Hill Rd, Davidsville, PA 15928). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
