She was predeceased by: her parents, James H. McElroy and Rhoda R. Hargrave. She is survived by: her husband Robert E. Thomas; her siblings, David J. McElroy, Sherry L. Carson (Dan) and Donna L. Hoch (Jamie); her daughters, Flor Hernandez and Khadija E. Karoodi; and her stepsons, Alvin L. Thomas and Arthur D. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
