He was predeceased by: his parents, John Robert and Maude Smith (Mimna); his former wife Susan A. Kuhns; and his siblings, Mary Keefer, Robert and Jack Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Swartzwelder (Harmon); his children, Kimberly A. Somers (Steve) and Jack Michael Smith (Linda Hostnick); his stepchildren, Pamela Swartzwelder, Robin Chipchosky (Thomas) and Scott Swartzwelder; his grandchildren, Kevin B. Somers, Mark Custer (Kelly), Jennifer Snyder (Josh) and Samantha Brogin; his great grandchildren, Brooke Somers, Kane Custer and Colton Snyder; and his close friend Eileen Miscovich.
