He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Berkey and Pauline Berkey (Sayler). He is survived by: his siblings, Barbara Trent (Robert) of Friedens, Gretchen Baraniak (Tom) of Somerset, Rebecca Berkey Ludlow of Steamboat Springs, CO, Samuel Berkey (Karen) of Somerset and George Berkey (Marilyn) of Corning, NY. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
