It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jay William Hemminger of Somerset, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 14, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Noah and Violet Vade Hemminger (Lenhart); his wife Myra L. "Dutch" Long; his son Barry (Hemminger); and his brothers, James and Jack Hemminger.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Koontz (Gary) of Somerset and Larry Hemminger of Somerset; and his grandchildren, Heather Mostoller (Justin), Andrew Koontz, Adam Hemminger (Jennifer), Brett Hemminger (Breezy) and Drew Hemminger (Sarah). He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
