We are sad to announce that on May 12, 2024, at the age of 77, Janet Meyers Shockey of Somerset, Pennsylvania, born in Meyersdale, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Janet had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Janet may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John B. Meyers and Amy Meyers (Oldham). She is survived by: her husband Richard Lee Shockey; her daughters, Jill S. Shockey of State College and Debra S. Nole (Anthony) of Bloomfield, NJ; her granddaughters, Teresa, Sofia and Marissa; and her sister Judy Kimmel (Christopher) of Shelocta.
