He is survived by: his wife Mary Amelia Bumbarger; his sons, James W. Emert Jr. (Tabatha) of Elizabethtown and Joel H. Emert of Stoystown; his grandchildren, Constance, Chloe and Crichton; his sister Linda Sue Emert of Somerset; and his foster children, Samantha Mishler, Etta Gehman and Missy Gehman.
