He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Heist and Martha Heist (Hoffman); his wife Shirley Stutzman; and his close friend Helen Hay. He is survived by: his daughters, Bonnie (Lynn Burges) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Sherry (Roger Kalaha), Berlin and Lori (Keith Armstrong); his grandchildren, Donda Waite (Jim), Robin Burges, Christopher Kalaha (Jill), Travis Barron (Debbie), Chad Barron (Cyndi), Rebecca Bennett (Matt) and Emily Armstrong; his great grandchildren, Ashlynn Waite, Kinter, Kylan, Kyree Kalaha, Michael Barron (Ashleigh) and Stephanie Barron; and his great great grandchildren, Benjamin and Annie Mae Barron.
