It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Lee Gilghrist of Somerset, Pennsylvania, born in Youngstown, Ohio, who passed away on April 22, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Barbara Lee departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Barbara Lee may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Barbara Lee leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her father Jack Jones. She is survived by: her pet Willow; her daughter Jill Nannev; her grandchildren, Bryan Pless (Katie), Larissa Pless and Brenton Pless; her great grandchildren, Emma, Oliver and Rosalie; her daughter Jennifer Gilghrist; and her brother Danny Jones. She is also survived by animals, and devotion to her family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Humane Society of Somerset County in Barbara's memory.
