Russell G. Bambarger Obituary
Russell G. Bambarger, 84, of Snow Shoe, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at his home. Born on December 1, 1939, in Clarence, he was the son of the late Groffery L. and Dorothy M. (Williams) Bambarger, Sr. On July 27, 1978, in Florida, he married Barbara H. Andrejdes, who survives at home.
Russell was a 1958 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. He was the Sr. Vice President of Telemedia Corp. and then President of Telemedia Construction Co, retiring in 2008 after many years of service.
Russell attended the Snow Shoe United Methodist Church. He a member of the Snow Shoe Area Lions Club where he served as Past President and Early Ford V-8 Club.
He was known for his well-maintained lawn and flower gardens. He worked hours everyday pulling weeds, trimming, and mulching. He was very knowledgeable of flowers and shrubs and knew what to plant, when and where.
Russell is survived by his wife, two daughters: Wanda M. Leaman of Amelia, OH and Daniell Climent of Snow Shoe and five grandchildren: Scott, Tyler, and Brent Leaman, and Anthony and Nolan Climent.
Along with his parents, Russell was preceded in death by two brothers: Groffery L. Bambarger, Jr and Donald R. Bambarger, and one sister, Patricia E. Seprish. Russell was the last of his generation.
There will be a public viewing on Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 10-12 noon followed by a funeral service at 12 noon with Pastor Catherine Dittman officiation at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Inc, 106 W. Sycamore St, Snow Shoe. The graveside service with full military honors will immediately follow the funeral at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Snow Shoe.
