He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey William and Katherine Daugherty (Humphries); his sons, James William and Chester Harvey, Jr.; and his brothers, Daniel and James.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryl Rankin of Smithton, Wanda Lou Fine (Gordon, III) of Monongahela and Yvonne Penman (Robert) of Glassport; his aunt Rose Marie Martinez of McKeesport; and also Nancy Daugherty (Dornin) of Smithton, PA.. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
