He was predeceased by: his parents, John Rhoades and Loma Rhoades (Robertson); his wife Carol A. Rhoades (Casteel); his daughters, Donna Rhoades and Diane Forsythe; and his siblings, Faye Brooks, Glenn and Obie Rhoades.
He is survived by: his children, Tammy Filer (Kevin) of Smithton and Doug Rhoades (Brenda) of Scottdale; his grandchildren, Bri Filer and Tasha Long (Derek); his great grandchildren, Talia and Devin; his sisters, Vivian Rodano (John) of Ohio and Debbie Karl (late Tom) of Ohio; and his sister-in-law Kathleen Rhoades. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
