With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Clarence E. Fortney of Smithfield, Pennsylvania, born in Newton Hamilton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 13, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin J. Fortney and Nancy Kathryn Fortney (Hill); and his siblings, Fred H. Fortney, Harry J. Fortney, Nellie M. Seilhamer, Carolyn A. Lane and Judy K. Zeigler.
He is survived by: his wife Betty L. Walters; his daughters, Romona J. Shope (Thomas) of Huntingdon, Deborah E. Branthafer (Allen) of Mapleton Depot and Beth A. Keena (James) of Wilmington, DE; and his sister Linda L. Cohenour of Three Springs. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
