Carlson (Brian) of Linden, IN, Michele R. Kabay (Michael) of Richards, NC and Amy A. Stewart (Daniel) of Ashburn, VA; and his brother Paul Mertz (Alice) of Plum Borough. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
