He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bucheit and Emma Goetz Bucheit; his wife Beverly J. Anderson; and his siblings, Andrew Bucheit, Kay Tasillo, Edna Garell and Dorothy Rodell.

He is survived by: his children, Nancy Bucheit and Thomas Bucheit of Ormsby One; his grandson Chad Bucheit (Melissa); and his brother Leo Bucheit of Coudersport.
