He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Nyce Barr and Bertha Marion Carey Barr; his son Christopher John Barr; his granddaughter Heather Tomlin; and his siblings, Edna Windsor and Charles "Chuck" Robert Barr.
He is survived by: his children, Andrew Nyce Barr (Judy) of Smethport, Julie VanGorder (Rob) of Smethport, Gretchen Simms (Mark) of Smethport and Sarah J. L. Barr of Smethport; his grandchildren, Joshua VanGorder (Crystal), Jessica Seipp (Kevin), Marklyn Simms, Savannah Barr, Christopher Barr, Shelby Barr (Jacob Knapp), Katelyne Siffrinn (Lewie), Drew Barr (Zoey), Aaron Barr (Trinity), Emma Barr, Mackenzie Barr and Oaklee Barr; his great grandchildren, Cole, Ethan, Ava and Jackson; and his sisters, Florence Carter of Smethport and Ruth Covert of Smethport.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to Potter County Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice.
