We are sad to announce that on December 30, 2023, at the age of 88, Virgil R. Stewart of Sligo, Pennsylvania passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Virgil R. Stewart to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lear Stewart and Blanche Stewart (Reese); and his siblings, Earl, Wayne Stewart, Betty Hinckley (Paul) and Jean Rumbaugh (Robert).

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Stewart (Shimmons); his sons, Stephen R. Stewart of Rimersburg, Kevin R. Stewart of Rimersburg and Brian R. Stewart (Tonya) of Sligo; and his sisters-in-law, Murial Stewart (Stitt) and JoAnn Stewart (Edwards). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
