He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilber Lester and Myrtle Madeline Matson Shearer; his wife Vivian Elaine Loughner Shearer; and his siblings, Homer, Blair, Leland, Lyle, Leonard Shearer and Velma Swint.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Brunk (Paul) of Slickville, Harland "Buck" Shearer of Slickville and Thomas Shearer (Janel) of Slickville; his grandchildren, Cherish Risinger (Josh) of Saltsburg, Lowell, Ashley (Jenney) and Gage; his great grandchildren, Lacey, Talon, Mia and Carson; and his siblings, Larry Shearer (Jean) of Apollo, Albert Shearer of Avonmore, Bernard Shearer of Mayport and June Kostelnik of Pittsburgh.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Corridoni Funeral Services Inc. (400 Indiana Ave, Avonmore, PA 15618). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
