He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Hertzog and Viola Hertzog (Hendricks); and his wife Mildred E. Hertzog (Beers). He is survived by: his children, Russell Jr., Lori and David; and his granddaughter Catherine Hertzog Nelson (William Nelson).
