With solemn reverence, we commemorate Joseph G. Bechtel of Slatington, Pennsylvania, born in Coaldale, Pennsylvania, whose life came to an end on May 2, 2024 at the age of 88, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Leonard and Margaret Ruth Bechtel (Garland); and his son Bernard. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth (Edwards); and his children, Edward (Louise), Jack (JoAnn), Joann McCracken (Julian), Mary Surdovel, Joseph (Diane), James (Kathy) and Leonard (Max Aguilar). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Assumption BVM Church in Slatington, the Slatington Library or the Northern Lehigh Food Bank.
