She was predeceased by: her parents, Sotero Garcia and Andrea Garcia; her significant other Dr. Edgardo Salazar; and her siblings, Rety Aquino, Milagros Garcia, Rodolfo Garcia, Manolo Garcia and Lily Garcia.
She is survived by: her brother Rogelio Garcia (Alice Garcia) of New Jersey; her daughters, Edna Salazar and Emma Ocampo (Alberto Ocampo) of Watertown; her grandchildren, Kristin Sliwinski (Mark Sliwinski) of Darien and Mark Ocampo (Jennifer Ocampo) of Middlebury; and her great grandchildren, Jeremy, Jordan and Madison.
