He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton H. Madtes and Evelyn Madtes (Snyder); and his brother Paul C. Madtes. He is survived by: his wife Arline May Madtes (Zettlemoyer); his children, Michael Carl Madtes (Marcella) of Kempton and Michele Kristen Dannecker (Henry, Jr.) of Mount Joy; his siblings, Willard E. Madtes of Tennessee, LaMar J. Madtes (Gloria) of Orefield and Marian H. Johnson (Arthur) of Orefield; his grandchildren, Zachary Carl Madtes, Cody Michael Madtes, AbbyRose Dannecker, Levi Israel Dannecker and Moriah Grace Dannecker; his stepgrandsons, Paul Henry Dannecker and Eli Henry Dannecker; and his great grandchild Elena Rae Madtes.
