He was predeceased by: his former wife Nancy Bender (Shank); his parents, Alva Gilbert Bender and Zelah Bender (Bowers Miller); and his brothers, Everett Eugene, Gerald Winrod and Otis Bender.
He is survived by: his wife Martha "Marti" Towne Bender (Longenecker); his daughters, Courtney Jane Bender (Jonathan Dworkin) of New York, NY, Madeline Louise Bender (Paul Whelan) of New York, NY and Sena Bender Larard (Thomas) of London, England; his grandchildren, Solomon Dworkin, Hope Dworkin, Zachary Whelan, Atticus Larard and Thomasina Larard; his sister Mary Lucretia Fretz (David) of Lancaster, PA.; his stepson Andy Towne (Shawn) of Collegeville, PA; his stepgrandchildren, Jessica Taylor (Joseph), Andrew Towne (Emma Arronson) and Sophie Towne; and his great grandchild Ruby Taylor.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Messiah (1001 Dekalb Pike, Lower Gwynedd Township, PA 19002).
