He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Friel and Hannah Friel (Monaghan); his daughter Lisa; and his siblings, Mary, Anne, Charles and Jack.
He is survived by: his wife Eleanore "Ellie" Friel (Rudzinski); his children, Barbara (Bill), Dan (Kathe) and MaryBeth (Roger); his great grandchild Derek Holton; and also, Keith, Katie Holton, Julia, Dan Loucks, Brian and Hannah Friel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins.
