He is survived by: his siblings, Charles Carlson Murphy, Louise Jennie Murphy, Phyllis Beverly Murphy, Edward Wayne Murphy and Bruce Franklin Murphy; his wife Virginia Martha Eckert; his children, Robert Jennings, Patrick Eugene and Colleen Elizabeth Murphy; and his grandchildren, Breanna Murphy, Bethany Hansen, Adam Hansen, Alyssa Hansen and Britta Hansen.
