He was predeceased by: his parents, John McLaughlin and Mary McLaughlin (Elbell); his spouse Gertrude "Kitty" McLaughlin; and his siblings, James McLaughlin and Lisa Baker.

He is survived by: his siblings, Paula Bowser (Ted) of Lake Mary, FL, Susan Hamilton of Trout Run, PA, Julie McDonald (Bob) of Jacksonville, FL and Jeremy McLauglin of Canada; and his grandchild Debbie of Dal, Jennifer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
