With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Bird of Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 10, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Bird and Mary Elizabeth Monaghan; his siblings, Richard Bird, Charles Bird, Alice Bird and Maryann Meiners; and his granddaughter Molly Bird.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his children, Andrew, Steven Bird (Heidi), Georgina Mathews (Clay), Elizabeth Doyle (Joe) and Jessica Byers; his grandchildren, Nathan Bird (Katie), Isaac Bird (Madison), Jonah, Maddie Bird (Devin Holling), Patrick, Emma Bird, Eleanor Bird, Max Bird, Jamie Bird, Sarah Byers, Aida Byers, Lily Byers, Laura Byers, Aaron Doyle and Isla Doyle; and his siblings, David Bird (Mary) and Loretta Metzger.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church (315 N Constitution Ave, New Freedom, PA 17349). A Mass was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery (315 N Constitution Ave, New Freedom, PA 17349).
