She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Barton and Lela Barton (Sapp); her half-brothers, Lanthon and Carroll Barton; and her sister Joyce Barton Rigdon.

She is survived by: her husband Richard J. Baer; her son Cliff Baer (Dawn) of New Freedom; her grandchildren, Dakota Baer (Karissa Warehime) and Summer Skidmore (James Nate Skidmore); her great grandchildren, Lila Skidmore and James Skidmore III; her stepgranddaughters, Nicole Marchio and Alicia Marchio Wright (Lance); her stepgreat-grandsons, Lance and Max Wright; and her brothers, Edwin Barton of Fawn Grove and Roger Barton (Laura) of Balt, MD..
