She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard B. Boal and Margaret R. Clark Boal; her former husband Frederick W. Lynam; and her siblings, Helen Havens and Earl Boal.
She is survived by: her husband Richard E. "Ed" Gathers; her daughters, Cherie Ackelson (James) of Cranberry Township, Alicia Zampogna (Tony Michael, Jr) of Seneca, Brenda Klingler (Stuart) of Knox and Linda Schill (Brian) of Pittsburgh; her grandchildren, Brittney, Sutton, Morgan, Zachary, Logan, Alex, Lucas, Derek and Brianna; her great grandchildren, Aemilia and Addalyn; her brother Ernest Boal of Curwensville; and her stepchildren, Timothy Gathers (Brenda) of Virginia, Kim Wells (Rick) of Statesville and Candi Shirey (Tom) of Strattanville. She is also survived by ten step grandchildren and 10 step great grandchildren.
